Fishermans Chillba

My son has a tie dyed Kavu Chillba hat that I wore my first time kayaking a couple of weeks ago. I was so impressed with the product that I went looking at the local outdoor sports store where he bought it a couple years ago. They no longer had what I wanted so I went searching for a website to purchase direct and found this one. I ordered myself the Fishermans Chillba Sunhat in Harbor Blue to match my life jacket. It came in yesterday. I can't get over how good it feels, how lightweight it is, yet it has a good brim to protect the face, ears and neck from too much sun. The strap has a fastener to keep it in place with no slipping. My husband tried it on and immediately asked me to order him one. While $35 plus $9 shipping is a lot to pay for a hat, you get what you pay for. Oh, and it's made in USA! I can't wait to wear it on our river trips!

This is the best hat I've ever used! I'm from Arizona, and have basically tried every kind of hat there is to protect myself from the sun. This is collapsible so that you can put it in your pocket. It's got a wire band on the outside so it maintains its shape even in high wind. You can use it as a bucket for water when camping also. Unfortunately the various colors are getting hard to find. This is an extremely effective hat for blocking the sun, and durable for years as well.

This is the very best hat I have ever owned. I've used it for backpacking all over the world. The brim stays firm in the wind, the hat does not tighten down on your head causing headaches and it's super stylish!

I am, however, upset that the stainless steel ring busted and Kavu won't help me out by sending me one i can sew back in. I have a style from a few years back and don't particularly like the hat pictured, so i would sure like to fix the one I own.

Anyone have ideas on what I might find at the hardware store to fix my hat?

Thanks, and Kavu, I really wished you'd helped me out today!

am a huge fan of this hat, its the perfect summer time cover with its lightweight, and loose, comfy fit. however, you have changed the fabric and overall hat in the last few years, and i have to say i am disappointed. the double layers suck. they are not attached together and this makes it odd when taking the hat off, adjusting it, or anything. also why double layers on a sun hat. the previous model was perfect with that thin nylon. the added cuts and seem patterns are weird and don't look nearly as good as the ole style. i appreciate the attempt at innovation and your stance on improving your products, but this time you got it wrong. like the ole saying goes....it if ain't broke, dont fix it. either way, i have found an older version of this hat online and bought two....one to be stored until i loose the other.....love this hat, just the "vintage" version.
